Cyber & AI Bootcamp Returns to Gloucestershire to Inspire Young Innovators and Problem-Solvers

Cheltenham, UK – Following the success of last year’s programme, CHLTM.TECH is bringing back its Cyber & AI Bootcamp in Gloucestershire, designed for creative, ambitious young people eager to explore the possibilities of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence.

Supported by DeepMinds Ltd, CyNam, Gloucestershire College, and the University of Gloucestershire, and CyberFisrt this immersive five-day programme offers practical, team-based learning, helping participants tackle real-world industry challenges, collaborate with mentors, and develop key skills in AI, cybersecurity, and technology.

Building on Success to Inspire the Next Generation

Taking place in February 2025, this second iteration of the bootcamp provides a unique opportunity for young people to:

  • Work on real technology-based industry challenges
  • Gain hands-on experience in AI development, project management, stakeholder collaboration, and digital marketing
  • Collaborate with mentors and peers to develop innovative projects
  • Engage in expert Q&A sessions with industry leaders and tech professionals

Through practical problem-solving and industry engagement, participants will develop valuable skills, confidence, and insight into the world of AI and cybersecurity. In addition to these core areas, the knowledge gained throughout the programme could also serve as a solid foundation for young people considering entrepreneurship. With the creativity, technical skills, and real-world experience acquired, starting their own business in the cybersecurity and AI sectors could be a viable career path for some of these young innovators.

For Young People with a Creative and Entrepreneurial Mindset

This programme is designed for ambitious, curious young people who see technology as a tool to create, disrupt, and drive change. Whether they dream of building their own products, developing new solutions, or shaping the future of AI and cybersecurity, this bootcamp provides a hands-on introduction to the industry through real-world challenges and creative collaboration.

The digital sector needs entrepreneurial thinkers now more than ever—not just those who want to work in tech, but those who want to shape it. This bootcamp nurtures that mindset, showing young people how they can contribute to the industry as innovators, problem-solvers, and even future founders.

Strengthening Gloucestershire’s Tech Ecosystem

The Cyber & AI Bootcamp is part of a broader effort to drive innovation, bridge the skills gap, and foster tech growth in the South West. By helping young people develop practical skills and a deeper understanding of the digital sector, the programme contributes to addressing the growing demand for skilled professionals in cybersecurity, AI, and emerging technologies.

Later in 2025: Advanced Bootcamp to Help Turn Ideas into Reality

Later in 2025, CHLTM.TECH will announce an advanced bootcamp designed specifically for young people who are ready to develop their own business ideas and turn them into a reality. This programme will leverage real-world cybersecurity challenges to create a dynamic, hands-on learning experience. Participants will gain valuable mentorship and knowledge-sharing opportunities from industry experts, helping them refine their ideas and develop their concepts into viable businesses. By the end of the bootcamp, participants will have everything they need to take the first steps toward launching their own business.

A Proven Model for Success

The first Cyber & AI Bootcamp, held in summer 2024, saw 21 young participants work alongside industry mentors to create AI-driven solutions for real-world business challenges. The experience highlighted the importance of early exposure to cybersecurity and AI through hands-on learning, bridging the gap between education and industry.

“This programme is about giving young people the opportunity to apply their skills in meaningful ways and develop an entrepreneurial mindset” said Rob Stemp, CTO of DeepMinds Ltd. “By tackling real challenges with the support of industry experts, participants gain insights and experience that can shape their future careers in AI and cybersecurity.”

CyNam’s General Manager, Hollie Wakefield, echoed this sentiment, saying, “Supporting the next generation of innovators is crucial for the future of cybersecurity and AI. The Cyber & AI Bootcamp provides a unique opportunity for young people to engage with real-world problems and industry experts. We’re excited to see how this immersive experience helps spark the entrepreneurial spirit in these future tech leaders and innovators.”
